Bible Study

St. Stephen the Martyr Anglican Church has two Bible study groups weekly. For those who work, or are otherwise occupied during the day, there is a group that meets on Wednesdays at 7:45 pm. For those who do not want to go out in the evenings, there is an afternoon group that meets at 1:30 pm on Fridays.

Regardless of whether you are well versed in the Scriptures or just learning about the Bible, there is so much more knowledge to be discovered. We learn about the history, the geography of the land, the places and people in the past, and what they are like in the present day.

We watch DVDs about special occasions or people in the Bible. We also have special study sessions on authors of the books in the Bible, and others explaining Advent, or other events during the church year. There are discussions and question & answer periods on what we have read and / or seen on a DVD.

Every week we have refreshments at the end of our study – an excellent opportunity for further exchanges on our Bible study topic, or other things in general. It is a good time for fellowship with one another, and a chance to get to know any newcomers to the group.

Whether you are a member of St. Stephen, belong to another church, or are looking for a church to attend, you are welcome in our Bible studies. St. Stephen the Martyr is a welcoming and friendly church.
