Special Gathering September 13, 2014

A special gathering of members of St. Stephen’s

Saturday, September 13, 2014

9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 13thOur Parish Council is sponsoring a special gathering of all members of St. Stephen’s to discuss the current state of our parish and to plan for the future.  The gathering from 9 am to 4 pm, including lunch, is extremely important for each one of us who is committed to growing our congregation and serving our neighbourhood.

Our Facilitator will be Tasha Carrothers, Diocesan Ministry Resource Associate.

In the morning, we will have the opportunity to talk together about where we have been as a parish, where we are now, and present our concerns and ideas.  In the afternoon we will talk about where we are going using the GATHER-TRANSFORM-SEND process introduced by our new Bishop Melissa Skelton to our Parish Council.

The goal of the gathering is for us to understand the GATHER-TRANSFORM-SEND process and the beginning formation of a realistic work-plan for St. Stephen’s over the next year.

If you are committed to growing St. Stephen’s, please put your name on the sign up list in the parish hall so we will know how much lunch and refreshments to prepare for the day.  For more information, talk to Val Krause, Gary Hamblin, Colleen Butterley, Heather Doherty or Joy Hamblin.

This is a wonderful opportunity for our parish to connect. I am looking forward to working with all parishioners who are excited about continuing to work on the vision of St. Stephen`s in our community. See you there!
